The Timely Trades Letter.

Insightful Market Analysis, Powerful Trading Setups.

The Timely Trades Letter uses the market adaptive trading techniques developed by a full time trader with 20 years of market experience who is trading his own money every day. The Letter is emailed every weekend in order to prepare for the next trading week, and includes insightful market analysis, carefully tested setups, and tips from twenty years of market experience. The Letter is not an academic exercise, it is the actual trading plan we use every day. We plan the trade then trade the plan. Rather than using a single technique in all environments we use different scans, setups, holding periods, and exit strategies based on the market conditions. The market will not adapt to us, we must adapt to it. Trading the same way all the time will just give you practice at taking drawdowns. Send an email to sample@daisydogger.com to request a free sample of the Timely Trades Letter.

Market Analysis: Each Letter starts with an insightful market analysis because trading results can be significantly improved by trading with the market. Rather than trading the same way all the time successful traders change their setups, position sizing, and exit strategies based on the current market conditions.  We don't guess what the market is going to do, we analyze the market to determine key trigger levels, support, resistance, trend lines, then we have a trading plan for whatever the market decides to do.  The Letter can give you a much better understanding of the market which can take your trading to the next level. Why not learn from a pro for about a dollar a day? Subscribe

Trading Setups: After analyzing the market to determine if the current environment is favorable to trading, we run a dozen different backtested scans to look for set up's suitable to current market conditions. We include both longs and shorts from well tested scans suitable for the current market conditions. We usually identify about a dozen interesting setup's in each letter, along with the holding times and exit strategies that are appropriate for the current market. Why not see what the pro's are trading? Subscribe today.

ETF Corner: We swing trade stocks and intermediate term trade ETFs. Our ETF holding times are longer than stocks because we focus in the intermediate term trends, this diversify’s us across timeframes and equity types. We identify interesting ETF setup's in every letter because there are usually a few ETF's moving well regardless of the overall market conditions.

Trader Tips: In every letter we share key trading techniques developed through 20 years of trading. You can make the same mistakes everyone else has, or learn from the experiences of others. The Trader Tips cover most aspects of trading as well as test results from new trading system research. Subscribe today.

Data Driven Trading: This section of the Letter  is a continuing series that shows how specific trading systems perform in different types of market conditions, and how various price and volume filters can effect trading results. Trading without understanding a system and how different factors effect it implies you are taking unknown risks. Learning trading tools and how they work is alone worth the price of the Letter.

Would you like more confidence in trading Stocks, the Index's, or Options? Some readers use the market outlook section of the letter to trade the index's or options, Some use the market outlook to time their own systems, others trade individual stocks or options using some of our set up's, some use the ETF's identified in the Letter for intermediate term trading when the market is right. In any case, if you are ready to put our nearly 20 years of market experience on your side then click here to Subscribe today. You will receive a welcome package packed with trading tips, a copy of the most recent issue, and your subscription will start with the next issue of the Letter.

"Palmquist does an excellent job of meticulously validating six trading methods. He thoroughly backs his research with historical and statistical data to stress the importance of context and market conditions. This book gives the trader a real look at the components under the 'hood' and helps the traders to understand how and when to apply the methods to achieve the most optimum results. Very well done!"

Can you know with certainty that your next trade is a winner or loser? You can't. You can only extrapolate probabilities from the current setup and your past results and statistics. The successful market player specializes in certain well defined strategies and also tracks his/her trades extensively and mines the data for information. This is the very essence of Money-Making Candlestick Patterns. And this is exactly why this book will remain a valuable tool on my bookshelf for years to come.

Customer feedback.

You do a really great job week after week of showing your readers how to:

  1. 1. Evaluate risk under current domestic market conditions;

  2. 2. Understand what low risk setups look like;

  3. 3. Filter setups that have triggered to improve the odds.   - Jerry E.

Steve, what I love about your approach, and I think others will love it too, is that it enables you to be calm in the middle of a storm when everyone else is freaking out.  - David B.

The beauty of your approach is in its simplicity and ease of implementation. - Wayne V.

I took count just for fun of how many newsletters I have used. I can honestly say of the 139 newsletters since 1998, yours is the best, its your buy point that makes your system impeccable.  - Dr. William R.

I have been reading your letters for more then a year now, I have learned more from your letters than I have in any books or even at the  trading firms I have worked at on Wall Street. - Joe V.

I just was reading it again, I do regularly, because it keeps me focused, what you wrote to me totally changed the way I traded, and I cannot thank you enough. I just wanted to say thank you again. - Alan P.

We use swing trading setups from 20 different trading systems that have been carefully tested and evaluated. This allows us to select the most appropriate trading tools from our trading toolbox based on the current market conditions. Some of the test results for one of our oversold trading systems are shown to the left. This system, along with the others we use, show interesting results over a seven year period. Fully tested and evaluated trading patterns are an important part of the successful traders toolbox. Testing trading systems does not guarantee future results, but it provides the trader with insight into how a trading tool has behaved in the past, and how to use it. Trading a system that has never been tested and evaluated makes little sense. We focus on testing different systems in a variety of market conditions and with different volume patterns and a variety of filters in order to develop a clear understanding of how each system has worked in the past. We use this information to help select the most appropriate techniques to use in the current market conditions.
